The Early Chapters
I've struggled to find the final thrust of inspiration for the beginning of this new set of books based in "Olimpia Valley" but when it did come it came in a rush. I've spent the afternoon writing down as much as I can, trying to catch every word, every thought, every feeling.

I have decided to combine first-person diary entries (one full, one part) with third-person narrative throughout the rest of the book. I have the synopsis's written up for the prologue and chapters one through three. I really like how dark it's immediately becoming. I worried if I'd be able to capture the darkness I usually like in my stories, because I was rehashing an older version of the book that had been quite bright. But the changes I've made have really changed the tone. I love how it's sounding at the moment.

Tomorrow I might try to write the prologue, or maybe I'll continue on with the chapter synopsis's. It depends what inspiration hits me first.
